About

I’m a proud Clevelander who has been based in beautiful Cork, Ireland for the past decade.  My educational background is in Business Analysis & Consulting (MSc) and Human Resources (BBA) and I’ve worked for a range of big and small organizations in the areas of Data Analytics, Sales Operations, and HR.  I love working with Tableau and Alteryx and am fortunate that I get to use both in my day job as Analytics Manager at Arlo.

Outside of work, I’m a Tableau Forum Ambassador and I co-lead the Cork Tableau User Group and Data + Women Ireland. I participate in the numerous data projects that are run via online communities and social media when I can.  With each challenge that I participate in, I try to seek out and learn at least one new thing – a new function, design, approach, or trick that I didn’t know about before.

The aim of this blog is to:

  • document my learning
  • explain my process and choices
  • acknowledge others who have helped or inspired me
  • share some of my experiences with all-things-data
  • make me accountable – so that I’ll have to keep it up!

On the off chance that it helps or inspires others who may be on similar journeys of learning with data, I will consider it to be a success.

Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter or click on the Contact page.

Cheers, Katie
