About

I’m a proud Clevelander who has been based in beautiful Cork, Ireland since 2010.  My educational background is in Business Analysis & Consulting (MSc) and Human Resources (BBA). I’ve worked for a range of big and small companies in the areas of Data Analytics, Sales Operations, and HR.  I enjoy working with data and learning new tricks and tools… and I am fortunate that I get to do all of this in my day job as a consultant.

I’ve been a Tableau Forum Ambassador since 2021 and have lead the Cork Tableau User Group since 2019. I participate in data projects that are run via online communities and social media when I can.  With each challenge that I participate in, I try to seek out and learn at least one new thing – a new function, design, skill, or approach that I didn’t know about before.

The aim of this blog is to:

  • document my learning
  • explain my process and choices
  • acknowledge others who have helped or inspired me
  • share some of my experiences with all-things-data
  • make me accountable – so that I’ll have to keep it up!

On the off chance that it helps or inspires others who may be on similar journeys of learning with data, I will consider it to be a success.

Feel free to reach out to me through the Contact page.

Cheers, Katie
